Mullingar, Kinnegad, Edenderry and Maynooth had none.

One of the managers told me that they were putting in a complaint to head office about the shenanigans, said he had lots of people asking about it due to advertising in national press...

Managed to get the 2ND LAST one in Tesco Nenagh today (third really but the manager was picking one up for himself :))

Apparently they are only being sent to certain stores and the stocks are fairly low. He only found the 3 today around 1pm so someone might get lucky?

    no wonder their creaming it.

2 in the Naas store, is this not the biggest Tesco in Ireland.
And only 1 unit in other stores whats the point?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,579 ✭✭✭Mr McBoatface

I imagine it's just ex-UK stock being sold off cheap here so numbers will be limited. UK customers won't buy these TV's because they just do Freeview ... in the UK they want TV's that work with FreeviewHD.

You'll see lots more of these bargain TV's being dumped on the Irish market because the UK customers no longer want them.

Is that the stock availability at the time of their e-mail, or how many each store got in total?

I'm not sure, would guess it's what each store got, wasn't clear from email

Has anyone managed to mount this tv to the wall ? I can't seem to buy the correct wall mount anywhere

You got the only TV in Ireland. You cant expect everything lol.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,976 ✭✭✭Barr

The only reason I got one was it was returned by a staff member (he probably couldn’t wall mount it either:D )

So you bought a second hand one then?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,976 ✭✭✭Barr

It was never opened so I guess the staff member must have changed his mind or something. It was in the storeroom and had to ask if they had any left.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,572 ✭✭✭davehey79

i was of the assumption that these are not wall mountable i stand to be corrected but i had the previous non mpeg4 one and it didnt have any mounting point
