Fine I accept my role in this struggle for the greater good, what say we rally the troops and then storm the cardboard box factorys ?

We then send out troops to overthrow the washing up liquid bottle makers and sieze their supplys.

Then we can advance on the RTE studios in our home made tanks (from the cardboard boxes and washing up liquid bottles) and lay siege to them until they hand over the tapes.

It will be a new type of war - a bosco war.

    It cant possibly fail.

TBH. The youth of today might be better off without this monger of hatred!

    Bosco is a misunderstood genius.
What about all the good things bosco did ?
The hours of fun with a bit of mala and an empty washing up liquid bottle ?

Stoke ye not the fires of hatred, begone from this place bringer of anti-bosco propaganda.

It is now almost 9 years since Mr. B went on "holidays". It's true he was borrowed from DCU, and was returned safely within a month. For those with an interest, the scam was carried out by a good honest Clareman known as "Long Dinny" and a God fearing Mayo man by the name of Alan, neither in DCU but staying with some good alcoholic Mountshannon Co.Clare DCU students. Both boys were butchers on their way to the west coast of the states via Dublin, Oxford and finally the infamous Haight Street in San Fran. Bosco loved San Fran, and really got into the spirit. He had a particular fondness for the Castro district, and was known to don a pink scarf while in that part of town. There are a few pictures of Bosco in dodgy positions with Barbie, totally out of his box in Mac's bar, in the blender behind the bar in Macs and general debauchery through the city. One or two pics of him with some white powder and a credit card but it might of been someone else who just looked like him. The joyful Dinny and Alan returned the tired and emotional Bosco once he lost all will to live and stopped entertaining the one bedroom flat he shared with 6 occupants. As for his new friends, Alan remains in San Fran and Long Dinny has returned home incognito and is still practicing his knife skills back west.

    I. Can't. Believe. I. Only. Found. This. Thread. Now.

I LOVE BOSCO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D:):D With a love that burns with the intensity of a thousand suns!!!!!!! (the lack of sun-smileys angers me...)

I unofficially married Bosco when I was 3 or 4. My life's ambition was to marry Bosco, turn into a puppet, live in his box and be on TV. Which does not say much for my life, but meh.

I'm not sure if it's a good idea to bring him back though. Kids nowadays wouldn't appreciate him and he'd get all commercialised and stuff. (And this coming from the girl who has a Bosco cup in pride of place in her room... but that was a present from a friend who has long known about my little obsession. So shh.)

But could they not just show repeats from the old episodes or something?

    BOSCO RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

its ok...we all have our little obsessions. As Le rack can tell ye, mine is speaking in a Trilo voice, and talking like that for ages.

I'm guessing you guys know Bosco is coming back? He's going to have his own show within the next month or 2, sort of an adult-type show (Considering the people who grew up with him are mainly 18 - 35)

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,584 ✭✭✭c - 13

Hey just Googled "Bring Back Bosco" and discovered this thread. Good to see there are like-minded people out there. Have just set up an online petition that I am going to send to RTE once it has reached 1000 sigs to bring Bosco back, or failing that, release the old eps onto DVD. However, I'm a few sigs short, er - about 999 (I really meant it when I said it was just set up). Just wondering if a few of you would like to sign it, or let mates know about it. Much appreciated.

I know! I saw it, he was so *cute*!!

They should show re-runs of all the old episodes... I don't think it'd be the same if they made new ones...

Could someone with the DVD send me a copy of the theme tune please? I haven't heard it in years.

If not I'll have to buy the DVD especially for it, lol! :D
