I've full pack sky wiv multiroom and hd to the tune of 160euro a month
So I sat down to watch Everton vs Manu in full hd 1080i on my 52" full hd 3d tv with Dolby digital 5.1 surround sound and I'm greeted with some gob on sky sports 1 holding a microphone commentating the game!!!!

Are they having a laugh!!!! Flick thru and none of the games are on bt sport either, not on itv, bbc rte,tv3???
Who has bought the rights??? Are they selfishly keeping them to themselves???

it is a bit of a joke. you want to watch your teams games throughout the season, yet they're not all broadcast. its crazy, cant understand it myself. clubs will have to sell their own rights.

edit....watched the liverpool match on an illegal stream. had no other option.

Swansea v Newcastle was on BT Sport tonight

The problem here is the Premier League and they pathetic rights package that they offer for Ireland and the UK. All games were shown elsewhere around Europe.

Thats just about impossible. Can you give a breakdown as to how you're paying €160 per month?

With 3 multiroom boxes , phone and broadband it comes to that.

The OP just said he had mutiroom and as this is the satellite forum I don't think broadband and phone come into the equation as he was taking about a Sky television package.

I was surprised none of them were on sky myself, but watched the Utd game on 15w instead

wiz was it a feed on 15west and what was the frequency? all live games are as shown on livesat and it did indicate that only swansea was on uk. I think 5 games were on 10east.

160 euro should equate to a motorised dish and more ingenuity to get ALL games.

Darn it!!!! it was on 15W!!!!! I just spend sunday retoggin out the 1.2m for 15West!
I could have watched it there!!!

What network in europe is carrying the majority of the sport?

Is Al Jazeera sport, ADMC or Canal digitaal the best subscribtion service to go for in terms of sport?

I noticed the "red button" was inactive during the games and then reopened at 10pm to show highlights - where the streams active during the games - inother words if I used my card in a specialised reciever - could one have accessed the red button streams during the games?

While I have a motorized system - I couldn't be bothered to stroll through hundreds of feeds to access the content I'm looking for - Im paying Sky 160euro a month to do that for me!!!

Once Sky no longer offered ESPN ... yet still charged the same price this season - that was enough for me!! And yes they STILL want €15 extra to watch your premium sub in HD. Taking the P*ss comes to mind.

After paying Sky a sports sub for years ... I decided to look down the illegal route ... you would be surprised how good it is these days.

I prefer legal services (love Netflix and Spotify for intstance ... brilliant value for €8 and €10 a month) -

€100 a month to watch selected games in HD = ridiculous, no matter what your financial situation is.

Sky/BT/Premier League .... the bubble is finally going to burst!

There've been a few in the past few weeks but they're back on Setanta Sports 1 now :)

I believe the same matches actually ran on Sport 1 on cable (is that your platform?).

IMO for EPL it is very hard to look further than:

    http://www.cyfraplus.pl/

And if you want to know what's on what birds, this site will help:

They did, because Setanta Ireland is part of the basic tier on cable and UPC annoyingly released Setanta from their commitment to show 17 matches on Setanta Ireland when they did the deal for the new Setanta pack (which on the plus side is a good deal cheaper on UPC). These matches had to be shown on Setanta Ireland on satellite though owing to Premier Sports commitment to show every Rugby league World Cup game.

Can we keep the foreign satellite talk out of this forum please.

NFL is shown on 15w Telstar 12 across 3 seperate feeds.

The ESPN2 Caribbean feed cuts away from this channel every Thursday, Sunday & Monday to show live NFL (in every timeslot) usually including pregame, halftime shows & all US ads and if not on ere then its usually coz the main ESPN Caribbean channel has it.

Then you have the METV feed which shows 2 2nd pick games every Sunday at 6 & 9pm. Pre, half and ads included too. HD too but the feed is a bit weak as I've trouble picking it up ere.

Then not always a guarantee (doesnt matter since we have the ESPN feed) but you also have NBC DAD4/DAD5 for Sunday Night Football & Football Night in America.

And of course you also get the magazine shows like NFL Live, PTI & ATH on ESPN2...

    Thanks for the information.

I made no mention of foreign satellite

The Sport 1 (mistype) was Setanta Sports 1 (on cable).

Wasn't a mistype in truth, more a piece of shorthand that a slow-on-the-uptake fellow forumite failed to grasp.;)
