I find it hard to believe, of course there are exceptions, but guys hit a brick wall in terms of adding mass and size of muscle, there has to be some degree of short cut. Especially in the wrestling game. Now im not having a pop at the profession but maintenance of a physique like that would be difficult without help given the amount of days on the road per year etc...

Mason Ryan is another one with a completely unnatural muscle definition, he has also noticeably been absent the last few weeks.

Is the wellness policy as watertight as people think? It seems alot of guys are being done for weed and the like, recreational stuff but is leniancy shown to certain guys who like to take shortcuts? TBH i wouldnt be surprised.

And just to clarify, this isn't coming from someone who is taking a pop at the business, im a huge wrestling fan, always have been and always will.

In fairness, he's working for OVW and probably not much else. If he lives locally, OVW have tapings I think twice a month, add in a couple of the non taped shows and he'd have easily three weeks out of every month off from wrestling. He could have another job, but if not, he has a lot of time that could have resulted in a body like that.

Note: I'm not saying he is clean, just that it's not impossible to look like that without help. He could take more than Scott Steiner for all we know.

WRESTLEMANIA WILL NOT BE HELD AT MSG AGAIN, it seems:

Triple H discussed in an interview with New York Sports Day how WrestleMania may not be returning to Madison Square Garden anytime soon due how the nature of marketing the event has changed considerably over the last several years. WWE is keen on hosting the event in stadiums which promise 40,000 or more tourists into town. He noted that WWE now sell packages to local communities of which they bid on and the most successful one plays host the WrestleMania event. The feeling is WWE can't t sell a package in where the arena capacity will only hold 20,000 which will ultimately be reduced to 15,500 when the staging is installed, even if ticket prices are raised higher you will not get the same number of tourists.

That's a shame but was bound to happen eventually. Would have been nice if they had done it once more though for 30.

Part of me kinda thinks they still will. Maybe 29 being held in a massive arena means that NYC/NJ cashes in moreso in 2013 from wwe than in 2014 when they could potentially have 30 in the garden.

Attn: anyone who thinks WWE is rational, consistent or fair:

The actual story on Brodus Clay is that Vince McMahon thought he was too unsafe and reckless a worker and doesn't want him out there until he's safer to work with. We don't know if this was something agents told Vince, he came up with watching on his own, or guys who worked with Clay complained to Vince about. There were eyebrows raised about Vince being strong on this issue in trying to protect talent safety and then this past week's Raw putting Henry, Rhodes and to a lesser extent Kingston in television matches when two of the three had no business being out there, and the third was pretty banged up as well. And to the same extent, it was noted that after Mysterio was backstage in San Diego on 2/13, that whenever anyone brought Rey's name up for the rest of the week they got a very negative speech. There's always been the underlying friction based on contract negotiations. Some feel because he's small he's lucky to be in. He moves merchandise like a star. He's probably No. 2 behind Cena with kids when he's out there. He was the key to the Hispanic demo and a legit huge ratings mover in that demo for years. Even as late as 2010 was the second biggest star when it comes to worldwide popularity on the roster due to his international appeal. There is also the tag on him that he's injured so often and they feel he doesn't come back from the injuries as early as they'd like. Of course, in this case, the reason he's out so long is partially because the company exercised poor judgment in having him work several matches after he blew out his bad knee and only made the problems worse. Another interesting thing regarding perception is that since Mysterio started with the company, even though he's had numerous injuries and surgeries, he's still worked more than HHH during the same period (actually considerably more), even though he had a more high flying style, started at the age of 14 and has had a longer career, but nobody ever talks about HHH being injury prone or sitting out longer than he should (nor should they). Even if you take into account that HHH stopped working full time in 2009, between 2003 and 2009, the seven years they both were working full-time, Mysterio worked more dates and missed less time due to injuries in five of those seven years (2006 and 2008 being the only years HHH missed less time). The last time Undertaker worked as much as Mysterio did in 2010 was back in 2001, so there is quite the double standard in perception.

Triple H is Vince's son in law,and one of the WWE's biggest ever stars.

Undertaker has been in the WWE for nearly 22 years and is also one of the biggest stars WWE has ever produced.

That's why nobody speaks ill of either of them, and rightfully so too.

Wouldn't call it a double standard.

But with Rey and HHH, they have both been wrestling for almost as long as each other. While HHH has always been booked as a bigger star, Rey has brought in alot more revenue to the company than him. Plus he has clearly given over more time for matches than Hunter. I'm not saying people should begin talking ill of Hunter and being injury prone, but instead cut Rey some slack and don't make his name into a dirty word.

Lads can someone clarify or am I just missing something, surely that cannot be a natural physique? Now there are good genetics and then there is that?

Surely that is not a clean athlete.

Depends on how long and how much he has been working out. You could end up with a body like that if you put the hours (and hours and hours and hours) and effort in. Cena for example, is huge and I reckon he's all natural. It's not that out there to have a body like that from a natural work out routine.

There's surely no way that Marcus something is clean? I just don't think you can ever naturally achieve a physique like that.

And I don't think Cena is clean either. Maybe he is clean-er lately, but just look at him a few years ago -

thats the thing, I think most of these lads are deluded as to what being "clean" actually entails. i.e never touching the steriods or HGH's in their life.

You are quite right when you say they are more than likely "cleaner" rather than bona fide clean.

They may not be Scott Steiner but I do think theres something amiss.

I think when push comes to shove Rey has more sway than most of WWE's upper management would ever care to admit (and they probably deeply resent that). They can moan about him all they want but at the end of the day they need him much more than he needs them. Though the degree to which WWE can be petulant and stupid is frightening.

Especially given their current lack of roster depth.

I'm never sure whether or not to hold that type of picture against Cena; I mean, he was a professional bodybuilder so I'm sure he knew the right way to get so pumped...

A major update from this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter has confirmed Kharma's current status in the WWE:
The reason the Kharma appearance at the Rumble hasn't been followed up on is she hasn't fully recovered from giving birth and isn't yet ready to work a full-time schedule, although that should be soon and they are seemingly building a program with Phoenix. They figured keeping it short and simple at the Rumble would create a good story part for the match since people weren't expecting it.

I can't wait to see her return to feud with Phoenix, seeing that Natalya has been completely buried by the farting angle at the moment.

Havent seen this outside of copy and paste newzsite but oh god.
Houseshow results from Tegucigalpa, Honduras (2/23/12):
    Match #2
Ezekiel Jackson def Drew McIntyre (Drew started a new sexually ambiguous gimmick, kissing the guys in the crowd and undoing his hair and started combing it mid match). Cody Rhodes interfered afterwards nailing Crossroads on Zeke.

    Still paying for Tiffany.

My brother said Mick Foley will be on Sky Sports news soon

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,116 ✭✭✭starviewadams

Wasn't a great interview, the Scottish guy asking the questions didn't even know how to pronounce John Cena's name,he said it as Chena.

He also rounded out the interview by saying ''You can see Mick on Sunday April 1st at WrestleMania live on Sky Box Office'' which was a bit stupid, considering Mick won't be wrestling at Mania!

Very generic questions, but Mick is well able to keep interviews semi-interesting and no awkward dead-air pauses thankfully.

He's apparently on Soccer AM in the morning too.

    – WWE Champion CM Punk fielded questions from fans during a thirty-minute interview with WISX FM in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania last week and was asked who his least favorite opponent in WWE is.

The Straight Edge Superstar replies Elijah Burke, who he faced early in his career.

“Good question. I always get who’s your favorite opponent. This is great because I enjoy talking trash My least favorite opponent; does anyone even remember Elijah Burke?”

Punk responds. “Oh he was terrible. He is absolutely the worst. He is absolutely the worst. Talk about a diva. Man oh man, sorry if you liked him.”
