i'm starting to feel like this deserves it's own thread!

was her promising to release the baps only a cynical PR stunt? why the deafening silence from the media on this? where are the protests, the pople on the street, the primetime TV analysis.

    #conspiracy

(well that or i'm just mad for unobtainable tits)

I think the Biff has got a point!!

Must be all the talk of baps!! :D

It seems most likely to me that she ran the whole race without a chip and got the chip and bib from Carmel when she stopped at a house just before the finish line to dry off and touch up her make-up. At the time she got it the chip had already completed the entire race in 43 minutes. This more or less gels with what she's saying, allowing for some flaffage.

Of course, perhaps she didn't run it at all but given it's likely she has no issue running this distance (due to her history), it would seem like a risky decision and I wouldn't expect her to **** up with the name/number in that case.

How long does it take to cool down fully if you run 10k

LOL this is actually hilarious. Surely she'd be well able to run it, why would she cheat, but then it seems like she did after reading this stuff??

Even that isn't really possible as who did the run in 43 minutes with the number first then? It wasn't an elite start number, Carmel the PR one has said she didn't run, Davison was wearing it before the start. If someone else did then wear it and complete the race in 43 minutes then they will have had to push their way into the front of the elite start, run the race, get through the finish area and back to Leeson Street in time for Davison to pin the number back onto a fresh non-sweaty t-shirt and run back across the line within 20 minutes. Someone who had just run 43 minutes around the course would not be giving a damn about some z-lister getting their picture in the paper the next day and rushing to give her their number.

    Far too much faffing.

All that needed to happen to register a 43 minute time is for Davison to cross the start line, leave the course and take a shortcut to have a cup of tea and touch up the makeup in Leason Street, rejoin the course and jog across the line at around an hour after the gun went off.
Simple really and I've not come across a more feasible explanation of how the number made it across the two lines within 43 minutes.

Except that it was just Davison's number that crossed the start line - without her attached to it. I believe it was attached to Carmel whatsername. She then doubled back at the canal and met Rosanna in a house in Leeson St.
Rosanna then "rejoined" the race at what she thought was a realistic time but forgot that Carmel, having a blue joggers/walkers number had been stuck back with the huge crowds and had taken 20 mins to cross the start line. That's when the bad maths took over.
I honestly believe that if Rosanna Davison had crossed the start line with a number she would have had no reason not to run the race and get a decent time. She probably texted poor Carmel at the last minute saying that she was held up and would miss the start of the race. Then the PR girl just went into PR mode bending over backwards so that the c-list celeb could be accommodated.

I remember when I was at school and had to do cross-country running for PE.....they had it mapped out in a figure 8 circuit and had to do 2 laps every lesson.

Well me and few mates decided to hide under bridge on first lap for smoke and chat, waited for the other suckers to come round, and just before they reached the underpass we would all re-join race, did this for about 4 weeks and always coming in top 10 finishes.

Teacher was impressed so got picked to run for school in inter school championship, and had no way of getting out of it, came in last :D..............was never pick again

Am I overestimating how many people can run 10k in 43 minutes? Was there no chip detector at the start line? Obviously if somebody did do the race in 43 minutes and then handed over the bib it would be somebody part of whatever PR group Carmel was in (this would at least answer the why you bring up at the end: Carmel would have just asked for it).

Thanks for visiting my personal fundraising page. I am participating in the women's mini marathon on Bank Holiday Monday 4th June for the ISPCA and would very much appreciate your support to help me raise funds for the charity. I have never jogged but I am willing to give it a go

Surely if someone started ahead of her, then ran back to give her their timing chip, the finish time would be even longer? Her comments don't make any sense.

TBH i think the worst cheating here is where the money goes with a lot of the "charitys" that benefit from these events. That's nothing against the ISPCA or whoever she was running for in particular but so many of these "charitys" are dodge and held to account for nothing.
