Can anyone post links to used car dealers in Donegal, perhaps including dealers if they do decent deals?

I have of course Google'd this and got some, but there must be more out there.

    Thanks

Very, very few would have websites from what I can gather and prefer to advertise in the likes of The Dealer.

    I've bought from this guy:

    http://www.shaneconnollycars.com/

He's got a limited selection in stock, but what he has is good and I'm sure he could source you what you wanted.

You can search used cars by county on Carzone, plenty of garages advertise on there.

    Thanks for the replies.

Was looking through a few of them, and came across the one thing I really hate in car dealers, the 'POA' !

Every single used car on those last 2 websites has 'POA' for price or no price listed. Why don't they put up their prices? Are they embarrassed?

I would make a point of definitely not contacting those dealers. Thats awful service on a website and they deserve not to sell cars doing that.

    Couldn't agree more.

It shows a complete lack of professionalism and dare I say it, the old "trying to lure you in tactics".

If you're selling a product and advertise it then it's not too much to expect to be shown the sale price.

Funny thing I noticed since the recession - main dealers nearly always used POA in the good times(on secondhand motors), now some of them are even displaying the prices on the windscreens just like an independent garage.

The reason for it is because depending on whether your buying straight or trading in another car there are several prices. If your trading then the yours cars age/mileage etc will effect the price also.

I refuse point blank to even look at cars in dealers that don't display a price even though I know the reason for it.

Be carefull a lot of dodgey stuff on SOME of the classified sites, try to stick to the dealers site or one of the larger specific CAR SITES.

General rule of thumb, do your research first, and be prepared to haggle!!!!

I see not putting the mileage on adverts also applies to the private individuals too

    http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/cars/3914567

    "High miles hence the price".

OK, so you told us it had high miles, yet are still afraid to actually give us a figure!
And for that reason, I wouldn't be ringing this number either.

The last few cars I have purchased in the north then taken them over.. saved about 2k.

I will pm you the car dealer if you require.

    If you would, thanks.
Also bought my last car, a 2010, in the North and paid the VRT on it. Was still cheaper than buying same car in South.
