    Never seen these paperclips in the shops. Anywhere convenient to pick them up?

    think they are called bulldog clips.
    last time i used them was for holding the paper to the board in tech drawing in school.
    easons or the likes should stock them.

    Just saw this now, the prospect of going to work tomorrow doesn't seem so bad now! Phone charger cable always ends up on the ground and being run over by my seat!

    Went and picked these up in Easons. Went home all excited only to realise that op must have a very thin desk :(

    I feel compelled to post the following, certainly relevant link from the great lfhkr itself:

    Who'd have thought binder clips would be so useful?!

    I believe they are called Binder clips (American) and come in several sizes (how far the jaws open?)

    Small = 3/4"
    Medium = 1+1/4"
    Large = 2"
    Mini = 9/16"
    Micro = 1/2"

    This is a Bulldog clip

    Not so aerodynamic!

    What a brilliant idea,....

    Tomorrow I'm off to the stationers to get half a dozen 2" clips (thick desk). :-)

    I have a table vise that can do the same trick.

    It's usually easier to get paper clips than table vises though.

    I've done similar with two strips of sticky velcro.

    Stick velcro to the desk, lay down your cables, stick the other side over the cables.

    There's enough play to slide the cables in and out but they stop at the connectors.

    You can buy bulldog clips of various thicknesses, so you might be OK.

    Why are the most practical solutions usually the most simplest? Thanks, going to use this myself when I go home! :D
