If you can get a copy of the Link up (Church on sundays has it), it lists all the different classes in the Parish Centre in Portlaoise, they run both Pilates and Yoga classes, I've done the yoga, but didn't enjoy it due to the teacher.

The Dance classes usually run for the ten weeks leading up to Christmas. Watch your letter box and the paper, you'll hear plenty about them! :-)

Went there last Monday. Unfortunately, the list available on the website was different from the one over there. There were some courses missing and I left being a bit disappointed. Wanted to join Irish History and Irish Language and ended up signing to Art History.

Yep - Irish language cancelled again. Ran for one term last year only. Does anyone know of any lessons / groups doing Irish in Portlaoise or the immediate area? Nearest class last year was somewhere west of Tullamore...

To be honest,it depends on the numbers interested,so ask around in advance.
I signed up for German last Autumn and nobody else did-so obviously ,didn't do it.
Some of the other secondary schools in Laois run courses throughout the year too.

    Good luck.
