Japanese tournament on this weekend...not exactly sure what it is cause...well it's all in japanese :P SBO something or other, lots of playtesting of AE 2012 towards the end of the second 2 hour segment and into the third.

Mago, Uryo, Tokido, Itibashi, Shinchan, Shiro...lots of good fights. Lots of footage of Air abusing the hell out of the new tatsu too :P

  • Registered Users Posts: 551 ✭✭✭Monkeyto

That was the last qualifier for SBO :) Mago won and was allowed to choose his partner, so he chose Tokido!

This is interesting, but I can find no reference to any company other than Namco or Capcom attending.

I seriously doubt Nintendo would field a fighting game team.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,699 ✭✭✭Da Bounca

They aren't really fielding teams. It's a charity event. The industry guys are there this evening and the community players will be there tomorrow.

The companies I've seen represented so far are Sega, Nintendo, Amazon, Game, Microsoft, Sony, and a number of small developers, review sites and general media folk. They aren't great by any means, the crowd seem to get behind the battles though.

Capcom and Namco had mince pie eating contest a few mins ago.

Thanks to everyone who came over last night to help Speedboat and I test the stream out, was good fun and everything seems to run really smoothly. Special thanks to Doom for lugging over all his gear and sorting out the commentary aspect of things, and to Jun for bringing over a crapload of free food for everyone!

edit: By the way Dan you left your Nubytech stick here.

  • Registered Users Posts: 966 ✭✭✭Jun_DP101

Yh ggs to everybody especially dreddy and doom for making streaming a possibility. bgs to crotch grabbing

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,239 ✭✭✭UberPrinny_Baal

Eventhubs have a new page that tracks streams currently on

    http://www.eventhubs.com/streams/

Apparently they're working on bugs where it can't see all streams, but the Dreddy steam would definitely get pretty good numbers if it showed up on this.

There's a similar thing on SRK but this one seems more streamlined.

We're hoping to put another stream on soon so we'll definitely look into various ways to spread the word.
