Why not purchase a few discreet battery powered cctv cameras designed for outdoors and have infrared.

Picture quality on these are quite good and would be a help to identify perpetrators.

Look up amazon and ebay you would be looking at around €120 for a decent one.

Our house was robbed this morning. Robbers took a few items in the house but also stole two cars.

A Gold Nissan Almera 04-D-28514 and a White Hyundai i-20 151-D-4114 which is my dad's company car.

If anyone sees these around D15 can you please contact the Blanchardstown Garda station and inform them. Thanks.

We live in the Corduff area.

A neighbor had called in and found stuff on the path around the corner from the house. She had some items that were from my mam's bag. We went looking and found a trail of stuff so we think there was someone walking and tossing stuff out of her bag as well as two others who took the cars.

Be careful with your car keys

I know of someone in dunboyne got their car stolen using this method. They were lucky the 2nd car wasn't taken. They knew because the 2nd set of keys was at the inside of the front door in the morning. There was too many keys on the 2nd set of keys for them to get it through the letter box.

They got into the house without force which is more baffling than the cars stolen. The keys are normally on the kitchen counter so would have been impossible to get with a rod.

We think someone ether chanced their arm at the front door and was lucky enough to open it or someone has been watching the house and knew how to pry the door open.

Hopefully this is the end of our bad luck as its been such a terrible year so far for my family!

We think around sunrise as no lights were on when we came down. Unless they had a flash light. My Mam went to bed about 2am and my Dad got up at about 6:55am so between 2-6am this morning.

Wow very sorry to hear that. Definitely a shock.

Get an alarm and sensor lights asap.

    Hope the cops find them.

Also hope the guys that done it trip up and are caught by the wrong person.

Probably the same scum that did my house last August in the same area & at sunrise. They were after my car too but I had the keys upstairs. They have multiple previous convictions & continue to break into houses in their local area. They scattered my stuff everywhere too, not before they ate the food out of my fridge.

I seen them scoping out houses very recently in broad daylight.

PM me Mr Robinson if you want a name.

We just had a neighbor call in from three estates up saying they found my mam's bag in a bin. Could be the same as who you are talking about but I'd rather not speculate. I've sent you a PM Knine. Thanks.

    Report to litter warden!

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,647 ✭✭✭✭punisher5112

Take photo. Bags in place and as said above contact litter warden.

You have the name and address as they were that dumb to put bank statement in bag.

Wasn't a bank statement was only a note of the account number and sort code

Account number and sort code, they can find out who that belongs to.

If there's bank account details just written on a piece of paper then it's probably more likely to be somebody else's that the person who dumped the litter was paying, rather than their own account. Why would you write your own account number and sort code on a piece of paper?

I'd also be of the opinion that data protection laws would preclude the bank from divulging details of the account owner, unless litter wardens have some legal powers that I'm unaware of.

Supermarkets give the details of clubcard numbers litter wardens find on receipts, there's no harm checking with the litter warden.

I know of someone who received a litter fine because the warden found the receipt that was given at the time of an ATM withdrawal.
She said she'd put it in the bin but it presumably blew out.
The bank obviously gave out her details in this instance.

A neighbors car just went up in flames there a few minutes ago in Corduff. Car has been sitting idol the last while and the windscreen was smashed in.

Only noticed earlier that the side windows had been smashed and just now it literally went up in flames. It was parked in a space just opposite the neighbors house and not sure if it was an arson attack or accidental. My mam noticed it go up but hadn't seen anyone near the car.

Anyway just thought I'd mention it so everyone remembers to lock their car doors and windows!

We had a car sitting up outside our garden there the last couple of weeks, trying to sell it. Noticed on Tuesday that someone was having a gawk at it so I went out and they ran off. Just double checked it was locked up etc.

Thankfully someone came and bought it that evening! Otherwise I reckon old Betsy would have fallen foul to some mischief.

My sisters car had both sets of licence plates nicked off her car this evening in Aldi in mulhuddart, in the carpark. Guards are looking at CCTV, can't help thinking they were nicked for a reason.

    Just an alert for people,
My dad almost had his wallet stolen whilst shopping in Tesco in roselawn. He said there was a man and a women who looked to be eastern European. The women was standing in front of my dad while the man stood behind him. He said that he felt something pull his wallet from his pocket and when he checked his pocket his wallet was half-way out. He reported to security. Just be careful everyone.

My mother had her bag lifted there a year or so ago. Taken out of the trolley while she was putting her stuff on the belt at the checkout. Security was useless, said they had no CCTV (even though there's a camera trained on each checkout to make sure the staff aren't pilfering from the till)

That's disgraceful the camera at the till would of at least saw the person who took it .
    Hope your mother was ok

She was shaken but OK. Her bag was found and handed into the guards minus cards and cash. Probably just some wee scrotes.
