I know this is one of these "how long is a piece of string" questions but anyway
a day in the High Court with a barrister & solicitor
What is the Minimum kind of costs that a client might be looking at?
Surely there is some kind of ballpark figure per day?

It really is a matter of how long is a piece of string because in most instances you don't just roll on up to the High Court. Instead you build a case of varying complexity with varying degrees of discovery required and varying amounts of negotiation back and forth to try to settle. €4,000 per day for a senior on the High Court isn't unusual but again you set this against the backdrop of the varying degree of costs incurred in the run up to the case. Most of the time you're paying a solicitor on an hourly rate.
