Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Has anyone done much fishing in the lakes around wicklow, Ive done a small bit and not had that much success some small trout which I expected to be honest. Does anyone know the name of this lake? I would like to give it a go this summer.…

Lough Ouler, has small wild Brown Trout in it.

I've fished Ouler a few times - its a nice walk up there and good fun on the 4#. Small very dark trout. Get yourself a copy of Peter O Reillys lakes (and rivers) books', this and every other lake & river of note in the whiole country get a mention.
