    Hi,

Anyone in the know about Bank of Ireland's Business On-Line service (BOI BOL)? [a.k.a. online banking for business accounts]

It's getting pretty outdated at this stage.

Doesn't work with IE on Mac, or Safari on Mac, or indeed any Mac.

Doesn't work with FF on PC, or Opera on PC.

In fact, it doesn't seem to work with anything that's not IE 6 or IE 8.

Currently, I'm using a clapped out eight year old machine to do my online banking with them, because it's the only IE on PC I have.

Further, the whole interface is pretty tired, and having used online banking services from other banks, BOI BOL has fallen behind.

Thoughts on this? Or rumours on when we can expect a new version?

Last I heard they are working on the Mac issue. As for the rest of it, I don't know. Have you spoken to the BOL reps about the problems you're experiencing?

BOL is due for a total rehaul. Last I heard was 2010 - 2011 before it would be finished. How in ever that was last year and if anything the whole thing may now be on hold with the current economic climate and all that. I must find out.

They wouldn't consider it a problem, Toots. I'm trying to access on an unsupported operating system (Mac), and unsupported browsers (FF and Safari). Period.

Just wondering when they'll come up to speed.

Further, unlike B365, BOI BOL charges its users a monthly fee... E15 per month.

They must have made a right tit of it, I also have to wind up an old dell pc to do my boi-bol banking with them and €15/month is a fair price on top of the charges already horsed on. That stuff should be useable across any platform, they should take a leaf from the porn industry, early adopters of technology. A bit of a joke really for BOI but do they give a **** about business users probably no.

They must give a sh1te if it's being totally rehauled at considerable expense. AFAIK the end of 2010 / start of 2011 is the expected completion date.

Why not just put a link for Mac users like they have on the personal internet banking?

I'd be looking for a refund of my monthly fee..!

It has been like this for the last 4/5 years and not comparable with Mac, we are not talking about the early 90's when little was comparable.
I have no respect for Banks even before they sank the country
