Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

1970s Community TV - Tallaght - any information on this ?

Back in the early to mid 1970s I recall seeing local TV in Tallaght. The shows were recorded (or live?) at the Tallaght Community School. I"ve searched online but have found no information on this. I'd be very curious to see if any of the recordings survived. Was this broadcast or was it made available through the old RTE…

I"ve searched online but have found no information on this. I'd be very curious to see if any of the recordings survived. Was this broadcast or was it made available through the old RTE Relays cable network ?

Remember (early-mid 1980's) hearing about a community "station" (on cable) in Ballyfermot as well.

Not to be confused with the occasional pirate TV station or RTE regional TV experiment
