From that, you budget is about €1,100.

    Item|Price
    Total build cost: €999.61 + €30 shipping
    Intel Core i5-2500K Box, LGA1155|€193.85
    ASRock Z68 Pro3 Gen3, Sockel 1155, ATX|€97.91
    Crucial M4 128GB SSD 6,4cm (2,5")|€172.19
    8GB-Kit A-Data Value PC3-1333 CL9|€33.59
    Super-Flower Amazon 80Plus 550W|€53.47
    Sapphire HD 6950 Dirt3, 2GB GDDR5 PCI-Express|€241.89
    Samsung SpinPoint F3 1000GB, SATA II (HD103SJ)|€99.00
FRACTAL DESIGN Gehäuse DEFINE R3 Titanium Grey|€91.69
    Samsung SH-222AB bare schwarz SATA|€16.02

Same processor, cheaper RAM (makes no odds), Z68 motherboard to support overclocking, a better power supply that actually has enough power to run everything (yours didn't), a faster secondary drive, and a much, much faster SSD. Much better case too.

If you fill this out, it'll give us a better idea of what you're after and how best to help you.

Not bad, there are a couple things I would change. The case is a pretty bad one, plenty of better choices out there. Also you can't overclock with that motherboard so its not a good choice to put with the i5-2500k. A fairly standardish build would be something like this:

    Item|Price
    Total build cost: €1,042.85 + €30 shipping
    Intel Core i5-2500K Box, LGA1155|€193.85
    ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3, Sockel 1155, ATX|€120.35
    8GB-Kit A-Data Value PC3-1333 CL9|€33.59
    Crucial M4 128GB SSD 6,4cm (2,5")|€172.19
    Samsung SpinPoint F3 1000GB, SATA II (HD103SJ)|€99.00
    Sapphire HD 6950 Dirt3, 2GB GDDR5 PCI-Express|€242.59
    Samsung SH-222AB bare schwarz SATA|€16.02
FRACTAL DESIGN Gehäuse DEFINE R3 Black Pearl|€95.40
    Super-Flower Amazon 80Plus 650W|€69.86

It can be cut down in costs pretty easy though if you want.

Thanks for the quick reply and thanks for the build.
My budget is around 1100 as yousaid.
Gaming(Battlefield 3, no need for Ultra but if I could that would be great, Shogun 2 Total War, upcoming X-Com Strategy Game, Bioshock Infinite) Internet, maybe some light video editing, no colour grading or after effects.
I will be needing a copy of Windows 7.
    No need for a monitor.
My current monitor is 1650x105. No interest in upgrading.
I can't use older parts from another computer.
I am willing to try and overclock.
I can pay by Visa Debit.
There is no haste in buying this. I might not be buying for 2 months but it could be sooner.
I'm not sure I about help building. I would be willing to give it a go myslf unless it is ill advised.

    You can add

    http://www2.hardwareversand.de/articledetail.jsp?aid=29181&agid=185

to my build, and (pretty much) stay in-budget. If you want to cut back, you could drop the SSD to the 64GB version.

I'd wait for a bit, if you're not in a rush. New graphics cards are coming out, meaning the current ones will drop a little, and hard drive prices are gradually (if none-too-quickly) falling as well, so you might be able to save €50 or so in a month.

Thanks guys. This is really great.
I am planning on waiting atleast a month any way. It would be nice to save some money.

Yeah, in a month the new AMD cards will be out. There will probably be a better card in the €250 pricerange then.

You can fit a 7950 in there and still stay inside your budget.
If you need Windows 7 you should try get it off software4students.com

I had a look around and there's just not enough info on that PSU. Hardwareversand says it's 2 years warranty which doesn't inspire confidence but the website, assuming I'm looking at the same PSU, says 3. There's no solid reviews any any info points to what appears to be older models.

I'd say to avoid it. You don't need 800W (assuming that this PSU is capable) and the board doesn't support crossfire. You might want to switch to 1.5V RAM too, but apart from that, that would be an excellent gaming machine.
