Where to live in East Kildare?

The family is seriously considering a move to East Kildare mainly to make use of the Steiner school in the Kilcullen area and to give country living a go. Any suggestions on where to live? Very young kids and one of us would be commuting to Dublin city centre. Thanks!!

If your commuting to Dublin probably Kilcullen is your best option to live. The M9 motorway passes by and joins the M7 which would bring you into Dublin. If Commuting by train/ bus Newbridge would be worth thinking about. It has a train station with regular trains to Dublin and a Bus Service (Dublin Coach) which connects to the Dublin Tram (Luas) and Dublin Airport. The town has lots of amenities, plenty of supermarkets and a large shopping centre.

If one of the reasons you are moving is the Steiner school, then Kilcullen is probably your best bet, or at a stretch, Naas. Naas is a bigger town with more amenities than Kilcullen and better connections to Dublin, but if you were dropping kids to the Steiner school yourself I'd imagine it would be a bit of a stretch twice a day. I live in Naas myself but Kilcullen seems like a nice enough little town from what I know of it.
