I think even more so than JFK and the public fear after his assassination, at the time that Ruby shot Oswald and it was shown live people were in absolute fear of what would happen next.

This image was censored by the American media, despite being published in the London Observer. I'll just link the image because it's a bit gruesome.

Dubious. There is no evidence for this claim, apart from the fact one of the men raising the flag stated the shot was staged, believing he was being asked about a different picture.

in this instance staged isn't the same as fake, fake would indicate that it never happened and was created for some purpose. Whereas staged would indicate that it happened but was posed for, how many photos do you have that were posed for.

Even if it was posed, it still happened and was still iconic and still roused a nation, and is one of the most instantly recognisable war pictures.

Bliss is the name of a photograph of a landscape in Napa County, California, east of Sonoma Valley. It contains rolling green hills and a blue sky with stratocumulus and cirrus clouds. The image is used as the default computer wallpaper for the “Luna” theme in Windows XP.

The photograph was taken by the professional photographer Charles O’Rear, a resident of St. Helena in Napa County, for digital-design company HighTurn. O’Rear has also taken photographs of Napa Valley for the May 1979 National Geographic Magazine article Napa, Valley of the Vine.

O’Rear’s photograph inspired Windows XP’s US$ 200 million advertising campaign Yes you can.

Some stunning photos there mate. What is the story behind the 9/11 fake one? Did anyone fall for it? Hard to believe if true, looks very amateurish.
