Flashing Slim Xbox 360 (MXIC)

    Before you attempt this dump the key first.

    This Slim was a Liteon 0272 drive, to verify if your Slim Xbox 360 has the MXIC chipset, look at the serial number you have a MXIC if the serial number begins with 03. You will need the following to flash the MXIC:

    • Some wire
    • Some solder
    • Soldering Iron
    • 10ohm Resistor
    • Probe (I used a resistor stem, make sure to thin it with solder)
    • A craft knife to make the PCB cut
    • Abrasive pen (for exposing the copper on the PCB)

    The picture is self explantory, if you can't figure it out you should stop what your doing. With everything in place send SPI unlock by using your x360usb or maximus lizard, and then just flash the custom firmware as normal. Remember to lock the SPI afterwards, read the x360usb or maximus lizard manual for more details.

    Whats the more common drive the winbond or MXIC ?

    So far I have only seen one MXIC, I'd say the Winbond chip is more common.
