I forgot to mention the excellent scene between Margery and Cersei. Cersei is an eightyfour horsepower b!tch!! It was quite amusing to see Margery's silver tounge getting shot down. She will be the thorn in the Tyrells side alright. What was funny about her anecdote about the Casterleys was that (from the interactive map on the HBO site) Spoiler: the Casterleys were actually the same family as the Lannisters until Lann the clever, the first Lannister, tricked them out of Casterley Rock- so the Lannisters achieved their current status by the same kind of deviousness and plotting that the Tyrells now employ. On one hand Cersei is saying 'don't fcuk with the Lannisters or you'll be smitten' but her story equally shows that there is opportunity for the Tyrells to advance themselves by cunning, and that the Lannisters have no more moral right to wealth and power than them.

Finally got around to watching Before Sunrise and Before Sunset.

Two beautiful films from Richard Linklater. The leads, Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy have fabulous chemistry which along with some sharp dialogue makes their story an absolute pleasure to watch.

The first three seasons of Buffy The Vampire Slayer have now been added to Irish Netflix. This show is head and shoulders above most TV fiction, IMHO. Joss Whedon's trademark witticisms and penchant for using mythology as a canvas for human interest storytelling don't do it any harm. It really hits its stride in the second season, and the third is a masterclass in how to do a seasonal story arc.

Yeah, always conflicting advice, but I just stick with what my guy tells me...it's wrapped straight after, take the wrap off after two hours and wash with warm water and pat dry. Well having seen the NYC exhibit I would say that an hour is enough time to see everything.

Looking at the photos of the Amsterdam exhibit it seems that each section is well spaced. The problem I felt in NYC was that it was so tightly packed that you had to stand right up against the displays cases to see the stuff.

EG. there was about 6 feet between the Lannisters and the Wildings display....and 2 feet of that was the queue for the Iron Throne.

I can still remember Emily Dickinson, "Because I Could Not Stop for Death" & "I felt a funeral..." & Robert Frost "Stopping by Woods"-probably because I liked the poems.

Others I remember being on the course but I avoided learning-that was almost 3 decades ago.
Personally speaking,I hated English because I didn't see the point of poetry or prose being deconstructed and over analysed-it should be enjoyed for what it is.

My children are Leaving cert students(this year & next year)-they're studying Sylvia Plath,Derek Mahon,Elizabeth Bishop-among others.

I see from the above that Dickinson's "....Funeral" is listed,also Kinsella's "Mirror in February".

One could argue,possibly,that it's not that the poems are so popular
that they're still being .......enjoyed -but that the entire LC programme is in dire need of an overhaul.

Spoiler: The Clara and River being related theory to explain why River stuck around. Having one of the Clara copies being Amy or Rory's ancestor could be a way to explain that alright. I have another possible explnation. Just watching the last episode again, the Doctor links Clara to the TARDIS telepathically to get the co-ordinates for Trenzalore from her memory. Maybe River was connected to the TARDIS.

A second series was indeed commissioned back in March..
